ABOUT THE PROJECT

Redd Barna is a charity organization based in Norway. It aids children all over the world protecting their rights and giving them support both long-term and in need of emergency. Its a part of the global Save the Children organization founded after The First World War. The project was made using an app making engine Origami developed by a startup founded by my partner from Norway with whom we made this project happen. The engine allowed to create responsive layouts both for iOS and Android.

ABOUT THE PROJECT

This project was designed while studying at Projector Design School in Kiev in 2016 as a graphic designer. The task was to get inspired by an original album of a band/singer u randomly get. Make a research work of an album, history of its creation and other circumstances. I got the famous work of Bon Jovi called “Slippery when wet”. The result had to be a brand new reinvented album cover and a poster.

Sketching stage. Finding the right imagery.

Sketching icons for a pattern. Design process in illustrator. No color. References: #love, #urban life, #stress, #rock, #faith, #money, #speed, #despiration.

Icons with basic color and shading.

Giving icons some color and making them unique in style. Decided to make all the color of icons a bit off the outline to show the idea of instability of life and live fast die young philosophy this album transmits.

Pattern on album cd cover.

I chose this bright palette for the final pattern because along the idea of desperation the “Slippery when wet” album gives u energy to live for the moment and “hang on to what u’ve got”. Such colors were also widely spread in the time the album was issued. So it’s also a tribute.

An A3 poster and a few variants of pattern colors.

A3 poster featuring stylized character. A tired rock musician from 80s, exhausted after family quarrels, problems earning for living and paying rent. The name of the album – “Slippery when wet” – has been stylized as a yellow road sign.

ABOUT THE PROJECT

It’s just an experimental personal isometric design project. Three beautiful cities – three different worlds and moods: Miami, San Diego & Rio de Janeiro.

Miami, San Diego & Rio de Janeiro.

Miami is one of the state’s – and the world’s – most popular vacation spots. Though destinations often are said to offer something for everyone, the Miami area offers multiple enticements for everyone: the trendy nightlife of South Beach, bejeweled by the eye candy of the Art Deco district.

California’s second largest city and the United States’ eighth largest, San Diego boasts a citywide population of nearly 1.3 million residents and more than 3 million residents countywide.

Rio de Janeiro never fails to impress with its modern outlook that reflects its progression through the times. The historic sites, sparkling beaches, green belts and jubilant attitude of the locals embrace the tourists to the world where heaven meets the earth…

ABOUT THE PROJECT

It’s a personal project that I draw while experimenting with bright colors and cartoony illustration style. It’s a fun illustration showing how rabbits probably look like falling from a roof of a house in the city of New York. It’s a purely vector illustration made in Illustrator and with Wacom Tablet.

ABOUT THE PROJECT

Emoji is an online startup shop based in the US that sells emotion certificates (riding a horse, hiking tours, wind surfing lessons etc.). I developed concept design for this brand as a member of the 99 designs society on competitive basis. The task was to make a fully responsive web application from scratch and make a concept of a logo. Design should communicate the main features of the brand: emotion, energy, style & personal service.

Web application concept design.

Since it was a short time-limited project I analyzed design and logics of similar applications, communicated with some clients who preferred to buy such kinds of certificates, made a moodboard and got down to the concept layout design.

Different kinds of head banners.

Client had an opportunity to choose what style of head banner to use. The background of the web application adapted to the color scheme of the banner image.

Emotional and slightly desaturated colors of the brand.

Checkout pop-up window.

100% responsive.

When the team of the client saw how the website adapts ton all screen sizes, he decided not to develop mobile application, coz this website was just enough for a test launch of the startup.

Blog Cafe sketch & logo

ABOUT THE PROJECT

An iPad Pro sketch made for the owner of a blog about restaurant business and food Daria Dovgusha. Initial idea and task was to draw a rough sketch to illustrate what the blog is all about. It meant to be used as header for WordPress site. First I wanted to make the header way more detailed and polished, but the client liked the sketchy look of the initial work.

Sketchy blogcafe.com.ua head banner.

The sketch was drawn in Procreate app on iPad Pro. it tells a story of everyday life of a food blogger.

Approved logo design of Blog Cafe.

When the sketch was finalized and approved, the client asked also to make a logo for the web site. I did a thorough research of the topic the blog deals with and got aquatinted with Daria’s authentic style of writing. The logo had to depict the essence of the blog – opening and managing a restaurant business. The textured background of the sign tells us that this blog (and eventually business) is for wealthy people who just love different kinds of cuisine. The “blog” font is a bit more playish telling about the mood of the blog and “cafe” font is responsible for the business-like topic.

ABOUT THE PROJECT

An experimental polygonal ad, that I designed taking part by invitation at one of closed contests on 99designs.com platform. The task was to make famous Corona beer look more contemporary at the same time preserving its originality and connection to Mexican culture. I decided to modernize the look of the ad by adding trendy polygonal effect to the pieces of lime and leaving its Mexican roots in the form of an authentic and vivid font.
